Well since I left the 2wd spring perches I need some more height in the back. I really dont want to add any more leaves, as load capacity is already pretty good, looks like 2 inches will put it an inch higher than level. Can some one reccomend a good block, looks like a 2 deg taper would also help.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, looking for a 2 inch block with hopefully 2deg taper.

my 1ton that was early 77 production was 2wd rear hangers and had a 3" tall block in the back to leval it out.

but if you want just 2" i say also go 2.5 flip kit for better ride and offroad flex.

or you can just pop the rivits and swap front hangers for rear springs and bolt back on with 7/16 bolts. and use hardened washers and metal crimp nuts.

the reason I only need 2" is beacause these rear springs were really tall on the back of the 4x4 burb I pulled them from. I figured that it would work out about right leaving the 2wd hangers, but it didnt work out that way.

Does the shackle flip handle heavy loads well?

I never thought about just changing the front of the rear spring hanger, and the pinion does need to go down, maybe I will do some measuring and see what that will do for me.

Thanks guys.

2wd to 4wd hangers will push pinion down as it moves the spring mount down rotating axle down also.

but yes flip kit works with heavy loads. just soft feeling in back loaded.

i have run scrap and 4-5k lbs of gravel in my k30 with 4" flip.
