im wanting to but a 6 inch suspension on my truck ... 6 inch springs in the front and 2 inch spring with a 4 inch shackle flip , then a thicker shackle in the rear, but from wat ive been told that shackle will put the rear an inch taller is this true or wat, cause if thats the case i figured i would just put a zero rate add a leaf in the front? any sugestions

This "new" shackle will only give you 1" more lift if its 2" longer than the stock one.

I don't see any rear shackles on ORD's website and AFAIK their shackle flip is meant to reuse the stock shackle.

I have never heard of a stock shackle failing. Calling ORD would likely clear a lot of this up for you.

I think you have enough questions here that a call with ORD will do better for you than I can help with typing.

However.

If you want a six inch total lift I might recomend a 4 inch lift spring with a zero rate in the front and the heavy duty front shackles. This should make about 5.5 inches of lift for you.
In the rear you can go with the 4" flip and 2 inch springs. Usually you will need to lift the rear an inch or so more than the front is lifted for the truck to "look" right.

Or you can use a six inch lift front spring and a four inch flip in the rear with a 2 or 3 inch spring. If you need more lift front or rear you could add a zero rate or the longer super shackles in the rear.

I would get on the horn with Stephen, James or Beck if I were you. Lots of options and they can help cater the parts to your needs and uses.

All depends on what shackle you use. They have a 4'' and a 6'' shackle. I run the flip with their 6'' shackle and a 1' zero rate to get 6'' of lift in the rear. I use 6'' springs in the front and there HD shackle kit.

They have the HD Rear Supershackle... I have seen a stock rear shackle tweaked when flipped to compression shackle and wheeled hard.

Actually they have pics here - http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/hdREARshackles.htm
