Ok here is the issue. I bought a used 4" lift from craigslist. The problem is the rear springs are 56" springs. They are going on a k5. The biggest problem is I don't have garage to work and it's supposed to rain the for the next week or so. I can borrow torchs to cut the rivets but I trying to not drop the full tank of fuel if I don't have to.

just need to move the rear hangers back 4"

its easy as pop the rivits off. then use the front holes for the hangers and line them up with the rear holes on the frame. then drill few new holes and bolt on with grd 8 hardware 7/16 and crimp nuts.

with blazer might need small mods to bumper brackets. and tight getting in around gas tank.

or super cheep way out is get some 4-5" block for the rear. but i say do it right 1 time and be done.

I would love to move the rear mount but Im waiting to go back to work where I can use the shop. I would have to trailer it there but thats no big deal. Thats the only thing that sucks is when I get laid off I can bring my tools home just can't use them where they are:mad:.

I'm pro shackle flip, and it doesn't really meet your time frame, sorry =)

Do you know how high the back of the truck will be with those springs? I'm not saying 56's won't be good - but figure it out first. Then you can get the brackets, flip, whatever set right the first time around.

All the springs are 4" it just the rears are 56" long. I think I going with the first post and moving the mount and loseing the hitch for now. I just figured I would see what everyone thought. Time to get out the air hammer and drill. Oh and the rain suite :wink1:

why not go with the flip? seems pretty easy, you shouldn't need a torch to get the rivets off!

ya a flip will bolt in place no new holes to drill. and later swap left to right you can run 56" later.

just cant run your lift 56" now with flip tho.
