lift kit question

i cant even fit 35s without trimming...

No offense but are you sure? I've got an 06 2500 Megacab and I'm running 295/70r17's (33.5") on stock alloy wheels with lots of room left. :dunno:

I'm sure there not stock. a 4.5" kit would NEED longer arms and they would come in the kit

Stock dodge arms are stamped steel were the aftermarket ones are mad from tubing

yea im sure, i had to trim the inner fender well in the front to fit my 34.5s. i could run 35s with a little rubbing but def. not 37s. my arms are 19" long on bottom and im not sure about the top arms

correction guys i am running 325s = 35s but i did have to trim so i was wrong but i still cant go any bigger without more trimming

Wheel spacers or coil spacers. Your gonna want new control arms or the problem is the wheel will be offset to the rear of the wheel well opening. Long arm changes the angle by moving the frame mounting point of the arms. You can get longer "short" arms which stay in stock locations, but at some point its just too sharp of an angle.

The cutoff is usually 3" and up needs extended/new arms
7" and up needs a long arm kit to save the geometry.

Also on my 02, I had fat 35s with a 2" kit and had 0 rubbing web bouncing around in pismo...

i got longer short arms when i went to my 4.5" kit but can i run 2" coil spacers without going to longer short arms?I would assume yes since you can use the spacers with stock arms

No Because your not going from stock to 2". Your going from 4.5" to 6.5". Look at the angle your arms would be at. I mean technically you CAN do it. It's gonna rub more than likelly, and it's gonna ride like crappy covered crap.

YMMV

Check out top gun customz. They make a custom length or adjustable set for I wanna say $250 last time I looked.
Also depending on the shocks you have, you may need new shocks to go with the higher lift. And track bar either needs to be longer or a drop block ( not best way)

I would drink my own piss before I would order anything from top gun customz . I never got my adjustable arms I ordered from them. I put them in the same boat as ballistic fab
