Been shopping around for a lift kit and I just cant decide which brand or lift height is "best". Im thinking a 6 in lift with rear springs but im not sure what difference is between a 4 and a 6 in lift when it comes to other mods ile have to do, steering correction, driveshaft, tcase lowering etc. Is there a big difference in brands? The prices vary widely so im either looking at around $500 or like $1500... Any info is greatly appreciated.

4" Tough Country front springs shackle flip out back. Get a new pittman arm for the 4" lift and call it done.

x2. You can also get a raised steering arm instead of the pitman arm. Ive done it that way on two different trucks. Also if you order a kit it should come with brake line drop brackets but the preferred method is to get longer stainless flex lines. What kind of truck are you lifting? With that setup you will need to get a new rear drive shaft with a dbl CV or a slip yoke eliminator on the t-case and new d-shaft. Tuff Country and BDS are the two most popular brands when it comes to springs and you can't go wrong either way. They are both good quality and a good price.

For the rear, go with the shackle flip either from DIY4X or Offroad design. I have both on my trucks, I like the DIY4X a little better. Unless your rear springs are in bad shape, then go with lift springs in the back. Avoid Lift blocks if you can
