got a 88 k5
would a 6 inch lift fit 38's with fender trimming or should i stick with a 8 inch
if i go with the 6 i would run a shackle flip and small block in the rear springs in the front

you could do 6" and 38s... its been done.. but you would have to trim... there's guys on here with 4" and 38s... lots of trimming.. only question is "how much do you like your body"

the body is ok not like she is new i have a 1/2 ton long bed with 38 and 8 inch but with the blazer and 8 inch will there be to much vibration /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

got pictures of the 1/2T lwb on 38s? im lookin to do 8" and 38s when i get some locked 1 tons ready...

I have 5" of lift plus trimming and 39.5s... no reason why you cant fit 38s with 6" + even less trimmin that this...

5" lift + trim + 39.5s

ok, pics posted in my pre-BB buildup album on webshots (link in my sig)... should be the last 3 pics in that album. I did one overall from the side pic like you asked, but its hard to see how much I trimmed because of the lack of contrast. At any rate, I took 2 closer up ones, one of each fender, hopefully they will make things a lil more clear. Like most ck5'ers I will prolly trim more in the future. At this point though, without removing the inner fenderwells entirely, there isn't much point in further trimming...
