I got an 87 K5 that i just lifted 6in. My question is how do you get rid of the saggy rear look? And whats the best way to set up the rear drive shaft to eliminate vibration problems?

The easiest way is to install a zero rate in the rear to get 1" of extra lift. You could shim the rear axle to raise the pinion up. Maybe someone here can advise you if it is safe to use both a zero rate and shim together.

I got an 84 jimmy.Same thing you got.6 in lift and was saggy in the rear.I had an old set of springs and used one leaf and added it to mine.I think I have 6 leafs now.Anyway it brought it up so it doesnt look low.Its still slightly lower but barly.I dropped my trans crossmember from about a 1 in drop to about 2 1/4 inches because of a bad vibration when I let off the gas and started coasting.Nice and smooth now.

dropping the transmission cross member is not something you want to do as its gonna make your front drive shaft angle worst and depending how you dropped it from the frame your could be setting yourself up for problems like cracking.

How was the rear lifted? I would not want to use a zero rate and shim if there are already blocks back there.

Got some pics of what it looks like. The front shaft angle was improved as was the rear. The front also has the advantage of 2 u joints at it tightest angle where it bolts to the tcase. So the angle of the front can be concidered half as bad as you may think it looks because of the 2 joint advantage.Concidering I have no vibrations what so ever now and was undrivable before it seems as though it worked very good. Also the height is higher in the rear got is mixed up before.Needed 31 in tires to pass CT inspection by 1/4 in.LOL

Ugh, you need to do something different for the drop. Those long bolts and spacers will lead to cracks. If you're going to do that, at least use square tube or something.

True, the angle of the flange will be worse, but it lowers it enough that it still helps the angle of the joint.
