I'm getting a k5 on Tuesday and the guy said it was lifted 6" with leafs in the front and blocks in the back. I want to get rid of the blocks. I know that with trucks they usually sit 2" higher in the back stock. Does the k5? If just put a 4" rear shackle flip in the rear will it sit level or be lower in the rear? Thanks

It will probably end up lower in the rear. Blazers and Suburbans tend to get saggy in the rear compared to pickups.

So I should get the shackle flip and 2" blocks then? Will 2" blocks small enough I won't have to worry about axle wrap?

Depends on how you use the truck really. A lot of my stuff has 4 inch blocks in the rear, if I ever have axle wrap, it's not bad enough for me to notice it. Mine are all automatics.

I would run it first then see if you like / don't like .

but ya 6" lift gets 5" - 5.5" block in back . so the 4" flip and 2" block be good .

also flip install = re adjusting pinion angle .

few ways of ding this . lots of talk in the garage section on it and lots of pics . but its no set size = fix it . need to measure and do it correct .

It's gona be an offroad toy that will also be driven on the street. Plan on going to uwharrie with it eventually. I just remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't run any lift block over 4" and that it won't flex as good with blocks. I'll ask the guy when I get it exactly how big the rear blocks are. It's also got 3/4 suspension so not sure if that lifts it any

I have 8" springs in the rear and 6" up front and mine looks level.
