Ok so Im looking at getting a few of Kert's stuff at DIY.....

So Heres my questions.

B52 kit up front.... If i go with 52's how much lift would that add roughly?

Then the Shackle flip in the rear with the 4.5 hanger.

Would that give me around 4"?

Any other mods or major fabrication needed?

52s will vary due to the fact old vs new springs, over load, engine and misc. Bumper, winch, bla bla bla.

Most people say around 4inch up front, and a standard shackles flip will typical give you 4 in out back. But the longer maybe 5 in.

Ok so the Shackle flip by itself adds 4"s?

So if i add the 4.5" Shackle in the rear will that make it 8.5" of lift?

I use the 4 inch from just a flip with stock shackles.

If the stock shackles are 4 inch, and after market are 4.5, total would be 4.5.
Just thinking logically and from running the ORD kits.

No.

Stock shackles are about 4" long, these are 4.5" and thus will "lift" the back half of the spring 1/2". Since you are only lifting half the spring the total amount of lift would only be about 1/4".

So if a shackle flip equals 4" of lift, then installing 4.5" shackles will net a total of 4.25" of total lift.

Ok so should i go with a 6" shackle due to Saggy rear with the tire carrier and other tools?

Longer shackles are not a good fix for sacked out springs. Yes, they will add the height that was lost from the added weight but you may still be overloading them. That will just make them worse.

New springs would be ideal.

An "add a leaf" with the 4" (or 4.5") shackles may get you by for a while with your old springs, especially if you are going to carry some extra weight.

Did you get my PM on the stock length shocks?

Mostly a DD. Snow Wheeling. a little mud and very mild two track trails for camping spots.

I think Ill get the ubolt plates from kert so i can move it forward an inch. I have a set of d44 in the back yard just trying to convince myself to start rebuilding them so i can drop them in!!!

If the axle isn't in the stock location, you'll need to do crossover steering too. At least that's what I came up with when I wanted to do 52's
