alright guys im looking to upgrade im lift kit i currently have 6in Lift by superlift springs in front with blocks in the back. Im thinking of keeping 6in and installing shackle flips in the back and upgrading springs or going 8in lift with shackle flips. Any brand suggestions? i already extended both driveshafts would i have to extend them again going to 8in? BTW im driving 89 blazer

Take a look at the what would my truck look like xx thread at the top of this forum.

If you have, let us know what your goal is for this blazer and maybe we can get you pointed in the right direction.

I'd stay at 6" up front, you can always add an extra inch with a zero-rate or small bodylift...

rear.... shackle flip, 2" spring, longer shackle... maybe a 56" spring... can't go wrong with Tuff Country or BDS springs...

As far as brand sugestions...Skyjacker springs are made in America (at least they where last I looked), and cost a lot more because of it.

thanks for suggestions. now on the ord shackle flips do they truely lift your truck the 4ins? or is it only half because your only lifting one side of the leaf spring?

it a true 4'' lift, diy4x is the shackle flip i have sitting on my shelf, awaiting for me to decide which k series i want to put all my gear on. i also have diy4x's 14bff disk conversion,..i plan on using his pinion guard & wraptor setup also.

I always wondered about the 4" shackle flip as well due to a few little things... On the suburban 2.5" blocks in rear and 4" springs in front = 4" lift all the way around (normally sat with a rake) so I'm not sure how it calculates with that case. maybe that's what you are getting at too?

yeah it seems like they sit lower in the back, i was thinking of doing 4 in shackle flip in rear with 2.5 springs ( dont know what brand yet) and ord zero rate, and Front with just 6in Springs maybe add zero rate if i need to level it out
