so if i use 10"of lift and move my front axle forward and cut my fenders, will 40s fit, or should i just give up. i just am not ready to hack my mint condition blazer up YET. i will, but ive got to destroy a fender off road or something first. thanks for all of your input
My thought is 6" springs + Zero rates + heavy duty extended shackles front. 4" Shackle flip + 3" springs + Zero rates rear. Next 1" body lift and some fender trimming. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
see now thats what im talking about, ive got the ORD shackles in the front and the shackle flip in the rear, i was just thinking 4" rear springs and 8" front along with fender triming and a one inch body lift, just to make sure, oh and moving my front axle forward and 1.5"!! does this sound like a good set up, oh and with 40s, what is a good backspacing on the wheels, they will be 17X8s??
and if i go with 8" springs, who makes a good spring? i know ride quality is out of the question, but as far as "flexability" and durablilty? skyjacker? BDS?

I destroyed the whole left side of my truck when I rolled before I learned. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
BDS makes probably the best 8" spring on the market, followed by Skyjacker, Superlift, and then whoever else is making them.
A 6" front spring plus the 1" body lift and 1" zero rate to move the axle forward would be the absolute max I would go.
If you intend on using your truck off road you're going to hate losing your stomach all the time. It doesn't seem like a few inches would matter but trust me, it makes a tremendous difference.
im gonna re-drill my spring plates on my D60 to move my axle forward an inch, but im starting to think i am gonna go with 8" BDS springs and 4" something rear springs for now. eventually i will do sway-a-ways at all corners, but for now im just tryng to fit 40s. im only off road in this blazer about twice a week, the other 5 days im in my 79 jimmy. whos has some pics of some nice looking 17" wheels. i dont know if i want some TR beadlocks or some bling. if anyone has pics of either wheel on their rig i would love to see them. thanks again
