I'm going to cross post this, it seems maybe people are over looking my build thread or just don't know either.

What I want to do is lift my truck 4 inches, I want to re use my rear springs and lift it using a shackle flip. Here is a picture of the leafs

I'm not sure what they are rated at but I would venture to say they are close to a 1ton by the weight I have put in this truck.

Would it be a problem with putting in tuff country ez rides up front or would the front be bouncy and move around while the rear doesn't move? I would think while towing that would be bad and cause the front end to float around making it dangerous pulling a load.

So what is your guys thoughts on a set of leaf springs for towing.

My crew cab has a flip in the rear and lift springs up front. Tows just fine.

Which springs did you go with for the front, do you have the sway bar hooked up, and how is the ride quality, ? I was actually thinking about looking through your build thread and possibly sending you a pm.

No sway bar hooked up. Ride quality is pretty good. I think I'll add a sway bar to the rear at some point. That is kinda specific to my build though. You probably won't need one.

Front springs are superlift EZ rides if memory serves. They were a bit stiff at first but broke in nicely.

Front page of your build thread says 6 inch super rides. :woot: I will have to leave these as a option does anyone else have a suggestion?

I haven't towed with my K30 yet, but just used stock rears and used rancho 4 inchers up front. I can tell from driving it around it feels fine and much much better that the stock springs in the front.

Of course new shocks and all new bushings helped, but still, night and day difference and it will be fine while towing

6 leaf + over load = just good 3/4 ton pack.

true 1 tons got 9 or 10 leaf packs + over load leaf.

i have towed with my 1ton and 4" flip in the back. even hauled many load of 4-5k lbs of gravel on the flatbed of it from the local pit and no problems.

These seemed stiffer then the c20 my moms boyfriend had and handled more weight. They original started life as half ton pack then my dad sent them out to get re arched and springs added.
