After lifting the truck 6 inches in seems to have some sort of rattle or chatter when i let off the gas at about 40mph and higher... any slower it dosn't do it... what could it be??? thanks

Ehh, nothing to worry about, probably just the drive shaft. Nothing important, ignore it.

On the flipside, I`d check to make sure your rear shaft is long enough. Did you drop the t case when you did the lift? That may be cause the shaft to bind up.

i dropped the t-case...after i did the lift i pulled the front and rear shafts...the rear yoke was in like 2.5 inches ???is that enough?? how should i check the u joints??? i replaced them not to long ago.....

move them around and see if you hear any metal on metal noise.... or cracks in the cups.... or nethin out of the ordinary

what transfer case do you have? If your running the 203 then it's probably just the chain inside. When I coast at highway speeds it sounds like the whole drivetrain is gonna fall apart. It's gotten worse as the chain is getting looser.

On my first Blazer, the previous owner lowered the transfer case whenever he lifted it 6". The tranny support mount was lowered with extensions and bolts about 2 to 3 inches below the frame where it originally was. Well it was all half ass and loose, but stock the support is flush against the frame and can't flex, but lowered it twists like crazy under high torque. I wouldn't rule out the tranny/transfer case shoving sideways under load and then slamming back when the throttle is cut.

Get some spicer u-joints for the rear driveline, and drop the t-case about 1 inch. Did you add 1-2 inches to the drivelines?

That noise is likely coming from your transfer case and is a result of driveline vibrations.

The only way to fix it is to get a cv rear driveshaft.

i bet its your Ujoint angles, where the one at the case is vibrating and the axle end one isnt countering the vibes if you dont have any play in your case or mounts anywhere i wouldnt worry about it. also check your shaft lenght. but i would replace that case ujoint whenever it tell you to really. just keep it in good shape and youll be fine. six inches isnt that much.
