lifting a 3rd gen camaro

put it on a K5 frame.... why do you want to lift a Camaro? how do you care for your mullet? sorry had to.

well ive thought about putting it on a S10 frame and **** but its too much work for this, it used to be a good looking car but i ran it into a tree, after that i just said **** it and its been my weekend mudder, i have no problems getting through the mud or sand its just i keep going through oil pans, i want more ground clearance

Whatever you do is going to ruin the front end geometry unless you fabricate drop brackets. Only option I could see is a "body" lift, spacers between the frame and body, and then try and come upw ith coils for the rear. Rear 4 link won't be too happy being lifted either.

You really should go over to Pirate 4x4 to ask this question. There is much more varied experience there as compared to here. We deal primarily with trucks.

Well, the body lift is out. It's a unibody car.

IF you can get a hold of a Spring catalog and just get taller springs, 3" is going to be your limit on lift, otherwise it's new frame time.

Pirate is the only place where you will find the people who have done this type of thing. Those guys over there are right on!!! They will be able to provide hands on guidance for your project and be able to help you thru all the rough stuff.. ignore 54 inches post! He oviously doesent know the kind. of tech help those guys on pirate can lay on you.

BAD IDEA! He is going to get raped on pirate!

You have the wrong idea about those guys. They are very recptive.

I think there is a guy on there who has done the exact thing your trying to do with his camaro, so just go on over there and tell them your plans. I would recommend posting in general 4x4 tech also so that you can get the biggest audience and therefore the most opinions on lifting your camaro.

Good luck!

this is a joke, please tell me this is a joke.

This is exactly what I'm thinkin'.... I mean, look at this dude's screen name - this has to be a joke.

If it's not a joke, then, Backdoor, you should really go to http://www.pirate4x4.com and register there, and post up in the Gen4x4 section. You might also want to post the same thread in the Chevy section also, to get more coverage. Good luck.
