So i got off at 1 today and dont work till friday mornign...i figure what the hell..its time i finished putting 3.73s in my truck.
So i pull the truck into the shop. get it on stand and pull the axle out...
Tore it all down and painted it then i ran out of paint
did my cover, and tie rod in a flat camo green color to match my rear diff cover...
the since it was all apart and i had the 3.5" lift springs from the truck that im building i figured what the hell..a little more lift over my AALs and it the 33s will look better...so i pull out my springs swap the front set of bushings over and say these words..."Ah Sh*t, that aint right!"
The springs are from a 70s blazer, adn i have an 84...the later years im now rembering have "Wider" springs and thus the "lip" of hte poly bushings are thinner...so wehn yuo put the newer bushings onto an older thinner spring you get that...(look at above picture)
so im going to call around and see if i can get polys like tomorrow or someday soon...if not ill just throw the stockers on there until i can order a set of polys for the springs.
That is unsafe correct? and as i would trun the springs would slide in the bushings...BAD...or am i retarted and its completely fine?
But on a good note...from the ground to the sprigns there is a 1.5" difference.
guess my AALs sagged huh?
im not sure if yall can see it in those pics...
and for the hell of it...the u-bolts get to be chebbie orange
