Light sheat metal welding anyone use mig .020?

no, but if 025 is good, then the 020 should be even better.
i rarely have problems with burn thru with that, so the 020 would make it non existant.

The .020 should work well. If you drill a hole near the edge of your top piece of sheetmetal and weld inside the hole edges, you can even go up to .030 without burn through. Using a hole instead of trying to weld the edge of the sheetmetal means more metal around your weld and thus more heat resistance to your work. Just something I've learned through trial and error.... Good luck.

Explain this in more detail if you can. I can't picture what your talking about

plug welding.

a hole is punched or drilled thru 1 piece, then the 2 are clamp together, and you weld the 2nd piece to the 1st thru the whole.

i was shaving door handles and such, thats why i was burning thru.
