Still says I lack the privilege of posting on the Body Shop section...

I use my K5 mostly as a pickup, the bed is bare metal and I have had the roof off this year. Now the rain is here and my windows are wet inside. The top for these things are very heavy, I was thinking of getting another one and gutting it somehow down to manageable weight, maybe even cut it down to a frame for a cloth top. Anyone ever done such a thing? I know they make (or made?) canvas tops for a grand (gulp). Also one of those pickup conversion cab backs?

The full top lasted 10 years, and now I need a new one. I am on my second Bimini top. I just used the cage as supports and they put a channel on the windshield frame. Straps for the rear hold down on the Bimini, and a screw on J channel rail on the tailgate for full top. I took it to an upholstery shop and had them made. More pics in my gallery

Probably one of the best fitting soft toppers I have seen. Awesome job on that man (but you probably knew that already)...
