Is this a good welder?

Any one have it.

Does it have a gas hookup?

Would it be a good deal to get one in New condition for 279?

I got my sp 100 back in 91'...
and it still welds like new...
It was one of my better buys..for $500..

So...279 is a steal on a sp 125!!!!
I'd have that one in the back of MY truck.. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

It can be used with gas or flux core wire..

Like I said in the other post:

I have one of the Lincoln 115 volt flux core welders and they wrok great for sheetmetal. I still use the splatter stick welder for thick stuff though. I think the flux core wire welders are good to 3/16 inch thick (don't quote me on that).

Thats the welder I use mostly. It has gas hookup but I have never used it. I have used it on just about everything up to about a 1/4 inch. Only advice is you have to prep the surface alot more than with a 220 and go slow. when you think you are going to slow that is about right.
