Hey guys, i did a search and it sounds like this is an ok welder to start with.

lincoln PRO-MIG135

There's one for sale locally, some guy bought it with projects in mind, failed at building a bbq, and gave up.

He's asking $300.

I don't really know what i'd do with it right now, but i'd love to start doing some small fab projects. Is this a decent deal?

Thanks!

definitely decent. I paid $550 for mine delivered. Great welder, definitely make sure it's the "Plus" model, as it has infinite adjustment of amps.

I have a 240v Square Wave TIG pro but use it mostly for stick, got this one for portability on 115v and for quick sheet metal work. Can't argue with Big Red's quality

I got one, I believe I paid liek $375 from Lowes for it. I love it, welds very nice. 1/4" is about the max you can go with it though. Welds sheet metal nice with gas.

someone beat me to it :doah:

really shouldn't have spent the money though, so not the end of the world. Ill keep my eye out for another one....

Thanks guys!
