Line Lock company

Sorry to bring an old post back to life but was just wondering how the cutting brakes work with a locker. Any negative effects if using the 2 (locker, cutting brake) together?

I saw this in a K5 that used to belong to "Russ". His also had a triple stick Doubler so he could engage front only, grab one side of the cutting brake and turn on a dime - very nice! :eek1:

I personally run the Jamar Manual line lock. That way I can park and leave it on without draining my battery. It is also my E brake since converting to rear disk.

You have to have the ability to use front wheel drive only to use cutting brakes in the best way.
If you have an ARB in the rear you can use fourwheel drive with the cutting brakes.
If you have a detroit locker you need to be in front wheel drive only and then you can lock up the inside tire with the cutting brake. Remember a detroit will let a tire spin faster than the ring gear but not slower.
