Line locks?

The only difference in your descpritions is the momentary switch, however most line locks, including mine, are not on a momentary switch.

From what I see the only difference is that one uses an electrically controlled valve, and the other uses a manually controlled valve.

Do a search under "line lock" in Summit, Jegs or whoever you would deal with and you'll find that MOST, if not all are indeed an electronically controlled solenoid under that specific description.

Your correct, one is manual and one is electronic, hence the difference in usage.

One is for temporarily holding on the brake while not needing to be on the pedal and the other is built/designed for longer/unassisted braking.

Right turn would go something like this:
Disengage rear axle, (triple sticks) hit brake pedal, press switch to right side and hold, release brake pedal and hit the skinny pedal for the front dig, release switch and go.

I've been thinking about doing this...seems like front digs are right at home on a fullsize.

Absolutely!
Besides that, it's the only way to make a tight turn. :p:

Here's a couple pics of what I came with.

now I have been thinking of a line lock front and back for winching purposes...

I have a manual trans and yeah the caddy ebrake kinda works.. but if I am outside of the truck I can winch with the tires locked...

right now I have to step on the brakes and cant see what is going on... also if the line snaps that could be bad as I am looking the other way...
although snapping a 7/16 cable doesnt sound easy... :wink1:

I had to have my foot on the brakes....
