Gettin ready to pull the 355 from the truck for the cutlass.
Picked up a pair of 906 vortec heads last night with screw in studs, drilled and tapped for a traditional intake, guide plates, and machined for .520 lift with good springs on it for up to .550 lift.
The machinist I know measured everything so its good numbers to go by. He said he'd cut the spring guides for more lift (just in case), tank them, and cut the valves for $200. Seeing as how I picked the heads up for $150 I think $350 for 450hp heads is a badass deal.
He said hes built 11:1 vortec 355s for circle track guys that have had them dynoed making 480hp!
Also said I should have no problem at all seeing 400hp with a 500 lift cam, the heads and 9.3:1.
