i'm kinda new here,so first off hi ya'll,now i've got a rust bucket of a blazer,it's a '78 k5 with a built 454,with a 700r,and a 205,with 513 gears front and rear, thats the reason i bought it,but like i said its eat up with rust, from floor pans to the body panels,my question is has any one here ever jerked the body off,and just put a chevy cab on it,i've got a '78 cab so the wiring should be easy,i need ya'll's input, should i just mud hole the rust bucket,or use what is good (the frame and running gear)and make a toy?????

really up to you. i know a guy that has a k5 frmae w/ a truck cab & part of a bed on it, i think they look silly. just my opinion though. if u are just gonna wheel/beat it, why do anything?

my floors were full of rust, so i cut it out & welded sheet metal back in it's place. nothing fancy just something to keep water & cold out.

yeah plenty of times. something about the rear mount is different. you should search. just a little nudge from me to become a member, your truck will thank you.

Do a search on "truck cab swap" or "body swap".I have replied to many posts with that title and put links to posts and pics in them also.

This was mine.
