My front is rubbing a little with my MT ATZ 36x15.50x15 tires. I am running 15x10 8 lug rims with 2.5 backspacing an the 4 inch lift. My question is if I go with a 15x10 rim with 4.125 of backspacing is this going to help with the rubbing or make it worse? I also don't like how the tires stick out so wide. Would it be better to go with a 35x12.50x15 tire? I don't like the look of 33's with a 4 inch lift. I do not want to cut my fenders. I know I will have some issues with rubbing but the blazer is going to be street driven. Thanks

They sick out far because of the backspacing I say go 4.25 for backspacing thats what I hear alot of ppl running and they are fine.

But with 4" I think you will rub no matter what unless you trim your fenders

Thanks cool I will look for some 4.25 backspacing. I would like to keep my tires.

Do some research first before you go out and buy new rims. See how far yours stick out now and if you get the same width rim and all. Just say your tires stick out 2" more then you like, just add 2" to your curent backspacing which is 2.5 then it would be 4.5 and bam you got your backspacing.

Btw make sure if your tires are further in they wount rub on the inside.

I ordered some chrome rims from summit with 4.5 backspacing their 15x10's. I know I am going to rub a little. Pardon my abbrevations what is AIM

yarrrrrr I wouldn't change a thing about your truck! How bad do you rub?

I'm rubbing my front fenders a little. I will post pics with my new lift tomorrow. Thanks

Deeper backspace will help the rubbing a lot...so will a narrower rim. A 15X8 with 3.5" of backspace or a 15x 10 with 4.5 of backspace will make a big difference. You may still need to snip the very bottom corners off though, but it'd be very minimal and not noticable unless you pointed it out to someone.

Rene I would not have a problem cutting. I just a little nervous with doing it myself :hack:

Ah, I thought you meant you didn't wanna cut your truck. Cut it like it is!

4" grinder with a thin cutting disc works best. Make a cardboard template so you can trace the cut line with a sharpie...and mostly so both sides look the same. I cut near the line, then switch to a sanding disc and blend into the line along the cut. Makes for a much neater smoother looking job.

Rene your cuts came out nice. I have the grinder and looks like I will be doing this. Thanks for the tips. Here is a pic my paint is already chipped on the corner from my painter putting on the chrome modelings that I told him I did not want back on. :doah: I did not want to cut cuz the truck is so straight. But if done wright you can't notice much.

Thanks Matt I am torn between hacking the fenders. If I could get away with a little trim I think I would be ok with it.
