Ive been thinking about what motor to put back in my Jimmy. Man there are so many choices: 5.3, Cummins, another carb'd 350, a TBI or TPI 350, a big block and the list can go on. I have a LKQ distribution center about 15 minutes from my house and was wondering if anyone had ever bought anything from them? Quality of used products? Good customer service? Any warranty?

they are higher priced, but come with a good warrantee. we even get reman engines from them. kind of a get what ya pay for.

I've read some good things about City Motor Supply in Dallas, no personal experience though.

I got a set of heads done by them not long ago. total bill was 385 or so for a full valve job, all new stainless valves and z28 springs. really good work and great people. oh and they got it done in like 3 days

The LKQ out in Phoenix i went to was more like a salvage yard, i picked up a used transmission for my dads little Aveo last year, ran about $350, they wanted the core back for that price, and have had no issues with it yet.

I dunno, i paid $350 for it, and all i did was pull my truck around back and they loaded the trans in my truck on a small pallet, already yanked from the car, much less labor for me to deal with :D

I was pleased with everything, but then again this was my first and only experiance with them so far.

Im waiting on a quote from them for a TBI motor with all the accesories and full harness. we will see from there i guess
