Don't order the door jam dome light switches. For my 85, the pressed in sleeve is too long and doesn't allow it to depress far enough. I would bend it if I actually closed the door without checking. ClassicParts.com sell the same :poo: too. I've been able to press to tube back inside and have it work, but I also screwed up my second attempt, so I wont throw my money away this time. The pencil is pointing at the tube I'm talking about. Unless my doors are sagging that bad, I don't see them working.

I also order some bulb sockets for my front square blinkers, the ones behind the grill. The sockets are too big to fit between the grill and core support. Those that have these, understand why the OEM sockets are pancake shape. ClassicParts.com has the correct ones part number 55-662

I ordered LMC's HD headlight wiring, for quad lights '85. Seems nice enough, though I was surprised at their bulb sockets. The way the wires come out is super goofy and cheesy. But @ $30 what can I expect. I do like the relays and overall happy to try it. (haven't actually tried anything yet, truck is down) I'm 100% sure this Taiwanese company sell mainly to Japan, and LMC jumped on board. The packaging has English, but it's mostly in Japanese.

That pressed in sleeve your talking about is supposed to be too long and when you close the door it pushes in and self adjusts for difference's in gaps.If it bends and breaks all I could say is $hit happens nothing is perfect get another one.

well I can understand it setting itself
but I went ahead and set things up in a bench vise, contolled work. Measured the original, which was still working but iffy at times. Then pressed one of these in just fine. The other I tried, again on the bench, and the tube crumpled, rendering it instantly useless and nonreturnable.

Also, just got back from Kregan/ Oreilly and Pepboys. Picked up my sockets.

wow I have about 50 of those switches in my toolbox at work. (car audio installer) I use them for alarms and such. They dont have that sleeve and are adjustable.
