LMC headlight harness fried

Debating taking out this harness if it is going to cause a fire

This is lmc headlight harness
Looks like it wasn’t making a good connection and got hot and melted the connector but I am not happy

This was hooked where my fuel Pump was hooked up could this have shorted the pump even if it on a relay?

I purchased headlight relay harness for the Motor home. 4 head light 1. The load supply wire gauge looked adequate, but was all insulation. I replaced it with a legit 12ga
