I got these for Xmas, and it has been cold and I didn't want to put em in.
Well today I got. Over My laziness.

More pics to come after dark
To start this is more about the wiring than anything else cause the instructions suck a$$.

Below are three pics the socket cut the socket uncut and the lights connected.

Orange wire to the red wire

The black wire next to the orange wire to the black wire from the harness next to the red wire

The outside. Black wire goes to the green wire attached to the stud of the led lights

Wish I would have taken pics of the. Lights but I forgot. Will show what they look like after Dark

looks good . i would just swap out to a good heat shrink with glue connection for the wires . as all the road crap can get up in these areas .

i have the sauder ones that work with heat gun and will use those. i just wanted to get it to work

Bright as hell, the lady panel is in sections, brake lights, running lights and turn signals

Maybe I'll make a Vid and see if I can post it

So you got these panels that go inside a stock housing and lens? https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-91-chevy-gmc/tail-light/cc-csb-led-tail-light-conversion-kit.

I see they also have a full replacement setup with turn/tail/back/brake that connects into the stock socket. https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-91-chevy-gmc/tail-light/cc-csb-led-tail-light-set. $240 seems outrageous for something you could piece together with $5 panels behind $12 lenses, but you do get the option of sequential turns if that's your bag.

On the one hand cutting the stock wiring sucks, but on the other hand the old factory sockets are maybe the least reliable part of the whole system, so you could argue either way.

Yes that's the ones go inside
Couldn't see paying 240 for them and my brother got em for xmas

Now he wants less for the dodge he has

Looks like $120 if you reuse your stock lenses. The $240 is for new, maybe fancier, stuff.
I'm curious what superbrightleds.com has.

My earlier question about the blinking was about their rate of....blink. Fast/stock? Needed the flasher relay?

i have had great results with my sylvania ZEVO series led bulbs . did a whole write-up in the garage section here .

but these do look good but as others said i cant see that price for stuff i wont see the benefits of everyday back there unlike my headlight upgrade .

No it uses the stock flasher and speed is same, says not to use heavy duty flasher it will burn it up

well thats a stupid design . . . tons of trucks and suv's pull trailers and someone at some point has installed a hd flasher . crapy design flaw they were to lavy to figure out .

They figured change it to stock on before install, it's in instructions......

Let me step back for a second...
I think they are cool. I wouldn't have a problem dropping $120 on the retrofit ones. The $240 is a little steep for me. If I didn't foresee smashing the taillights on the trail at some point....yes....the product is for me.
Since I DO see bringing harm to my taillights, I'd be interested in a cheaper alternative. I've got all new wiring and my stock lights seem fine if I don't find anything else. :waytogo::D
