So in an effort to save myself some costs on shipping I bought most of the things I needed through LMC, carpet kit, insulatoin, door sill plates, rear glass topper seal, few other things. Total about $900, and $180 in shipping.

I hafta say, this stuff looks straight out of China. Absolute junk. The door sill plates and vent visors are as thin as soda cans. The rear seal falls out on it's own. The carpet wasn't cut properly, I used it anyways only because I'm doing my own custom kick panels out of diamond plate, which would cover the 5 extra inches I had to trim away to get it to sit flush on the floor.

I haven't ordered form them in a long time, but wow, they really went down him.

I did want to send the carpet back and re-order through ACC, but I would have lost out big time and had to pay another $180 in shipping to get it here in a timely manner. The carpet fit wasn't too shappy, just extra material where the it had already been stitched along the kick panels.

I called them and let them know how unhappy I was. Told them that most of my order was heading back, I asked for a pre-printed shipping label and partial refund since I would have to re-order said parts form somewhere else.

The lady at the top wasn't available so I'm waiting for them to call me back.

I bought door sill plates from them last year, I think, and they were not "thin as soda cans". In fact they are still installed and have held up very well to the abuse they see. They were at least as thick as the stock stuff that was trashed and removed, and they fit perfectly. As for weatherstrip stuff, I never order it from LMC, not after seeing the poor quality of the stuff my buddy bought when redoing his 79.

I have bought a few pieces from Classic parts, and have so far been very impressed with the fit and quality. I haven't ordered the rear window seal yet, that will be coming in the next couple of months, if the one on the new top isn't up to par.

I've only ordered a few things from LMC, but I've always been pleased with what I got.

Some things form them are ok, and some things are just junk. I did however get a new shift boot, NOS GM part.

Sending back $300 in parts. They're givin me a $50 gift certificate for my unhappiness in their parts.

I have had to send some stuff back to them, but they worked with me very well. Did get some rubber that was not so good. Hope the pieces I used will be ok.

I do like Classic Parts much better, but some of their stuff comes from the some suppliers.

i was impressed with their service, not so much with parts. they didn't package my quarters very well for shipping and they were beat to Sh#t when i got them. they sent me a new pair, i just had to pay new customs charges. quality wise, the bracket that mounts against the door piller on all of them was out an inch and had to be removed and rewelded. the tail light edge that lines up against the tailgate, overhangs a 1/4 inch to far. still haven't fixed this up as the contours are going to be a lot of work

Update.

Called on Wednesday for an update. They refunded me $300 and said they weren't going to bother having me ship any of the parts back due to the added cost.

I havn't personally had any issues with anything ordered from them, however it's not uncommon to hear complaints either. I've read quite a few regarding there customer service.

LMC folks

They are not knowledgeable in the trucks or parts, just there to take your order. Call-takers, that's it. They look at the same on-line LMC catalog you do.

Year One, Brothers Trucks, and Classic Parts are the best quality. However, what they dont have LMC usually has and has a breakdown of the part too. Depending on what I order I usually split it between them to get best quality for the price.

LMC also has a " NO RETURN" policy. Not a great business policy if you ask me. I'm not a big fan of that.

I have been mostly good on stuff from LMC but I have never ordered anything big from them, just little stuff and its mostly been GM parts

Ditto, mostly Interior parts all have been top notch

I just got through returning bulb sockets and door dome triggers. They credited my CC but not for the return shipping. Called them on that cause it was their fault, was then credited. The return shipping was easily what the parts cost lol. A-holes

o but, my side marker lenses are nice, hard to F those up.

That's why I buy from my local NAPA guys. We all make mistakes......suppliers and buyers both. NAPA guys stand behind their stuff either way. It may or not be as quality as LMC, but they stand behind everything. They even told me to "buy" a socket to remove the yoke from my T-case and then return it. That's customer service at it's finest!

LMC is a gamble at best. I've had about 50/50 luck with what I ordered. Heres my pick for "never order" stuff. Carpet!, Sheetmetal!, Anything large they can wack you on that $20.00 oversize charge! Classic parts is my first choice.

I ordered all new gaskets, doors, window, top and all of the new window felt runners. I have to say that I am pretty happy with what I got from them so far, even got a Christmas card.

I have not oredered anything big from them but will when the needs arises

I have ordered a few things from them and have been pleased. I have heard bad things about there seals and gaskets though.

I ordered a set of rear cargo door seals for my burb from LMC a couple of months ago. They fit well and seemed to be decent quality, and cheaper than anywhere else I could find...

I got all those things from them a little over two years ago and he window felts have already lost the felt.

The wing window rubber seals were not good either...already have cracks in them and don't look much better than the 26 year old ones I took out.

The door seals have held up.

It seems like the ones that are exposed to sun and weather have not lasted much more than 2 years now.
