For a few months I have wondered what the LMC Tailgate Posts look like vs the other tailgate posts for sale on most body part sites. These are posts of LMC Tailgate Posts next to the other guys versions. The LMC looks like a direct replacement and the other guys looks like a slip cover.
The LMC appears to fit directly (albeit with some welding) but it also needs other mods. I have been told the LMC version is more of a pickup truck part than for the K5. There needs to be some cutting and welding to make it work but overall it seems to be the part for the job!
