before I bought my Blazer it was broken into. They busted the drivers side sliding portion of the widow on the removable hard top. I called LMCturck and the lady on the phone had no idea of what I was refering to. :doah: Can someone point me in the right direction??? Also, the previous owner only gave me the ignition key. anyone know where to get "factory" type keys???

for the keys, go to page 38 of that book and they have the original style key blanks. As for the windows, LMC just sells sets like you see on the bottom of pg 80, but if you have sliding windows you can probably find a set at a junkyard, someone giving away a hardtop, a set on here, or one somewhere like that.

just ordered two sets of blanks and two sets of key covers.:D Just need some luck with these parts yards!

Jackpot!!!!! found one at one of the smaller junkyards locally! Gunna go get it when the ol lady gets home!!!!!! :woot:

Keep in mind you need the proper tool for reseating the lock strip in the weatherstrip. It can be done without it, but it takes ten times as long.

fark arse!!! :doah: not exactly sure, maybe someone could help me out here. I went to get the sliding window set from the parts yard and the frame was a brushed metal finish. the finish on the windows of my truck are black. was this an option? are my windows aftermarket??? My windows look way better than the stock windows . How do I find the black frame?

I got a hold of one of there dealers in arizona. and he gave me a price of $508.98 + $25 to ship. ouch!!!! :doah:I might go back to the junk yard and get both sides for about $100. This way theyll match.

Most auto parts stores should carry it, as well as glass places usually have a few. Harbor Freight is supposed to have it as well.

if that's a CR Lawrence window, you should be able to get the exact piece that broke and replace it.

While waiting for an email back, I would call around to the glass shops in your area. They most likely use CR As a supplier. Its a very well known company that supplies most if not all shops.

I was told because its a fixed frame the glass couldnt be replaced???

I went to the parts yard and had them pull both windows ($50 each side for the entire frame and weatherstriping) and Im going to put the stock ones back in until I can either get a new window or find someone to get me the glass. Does anyone know the name of the tool I need to put the stock glass/frames back in? would it be worth it in this 120 degree heat here outside of palm springs ca. to have an autoglass company come install them for me?

Ill prolly order the tool tomarrow but Im going on a ride up the coast next week and wont get to it till I get back.

actually I do need your (and others) help! I just dont know if I should use this thread to do it. I have a definate steering problem. I know I need to have it aligned but my expirience with alignment shops out here has been a P.I.A.

I was gonna ask if anyone had a close up picture of the front of there perfectly aligned steering. That way I can see what its supposed to look like. My steering parts are comiing in contact with my wheels at some point! I dont feel it when Im turning but you can see where it rubs the wheels clean.
