I might have a buyer for my k10 body and frame. The guy has a trailer, but i'm keeping the drivetrain, axles, tires, springs, etc. Anybody ever loaded a trailer with just a body and frame?

I have.:D We just kept jacking it up and blocking it until the beams would clear the fenders (38"). We put wood blocks under the frame to get the beams out and strapped it down still on blocks.

Thanks. That's what i was thinking. Do you think 2 4x4s would be strong enough to hold the weight of the body and frame?

I've done something similar to that and I've also just loaded the rig and then removed the axles after is was on the trailer.

I'd be very concerned with them breaking at the worst possible moment.:doah: I was thinking 6x6's, but, then I got those 10x10's for free from a friend. You might get away with 4x4's if there's no drivetrain left in it at all. Mine still had the engine/trans/t-case in it and a bunch of crap in the bed. That and yours is a little lighter anyway, since this was a K20.

theres gotta be a "You might be a redneck" joke some where in Chris's pic, I just cant find it :haha:

A frame with a comealong on the front, with the same or cherry picker on the back. Stripped a 3/4 ton last month, used a cherry picker to put the front on the trailer then picked up the rear with the same picker and backed under it the rest of the way.if it snags use a comealong or winch to pull it up.
