the lock mechanism to my console fell apart now the lid just sits there and bounces, how do i take this apart to fix it? i didnt see how to remove it from the lid

It's been awhile since I had mine off, but if I remember correctly you use a pick (the 90* end) on the underside where the latch is. There should be a hole that you put the pick in and press inward, and it should come off. Hopefully someone who's done it more recently will chime in.
