You mean in general or putting a locker in without removing gears?

Either way its totally possible. You can use lock right but im fairly certain spartan lockers are better.

I've used lockrights for years, the D60 needed to have the diff removed from the housing to get it in, but my D27 (Jeepster) didn't. Both have performed as expected...no dissappointments

Yeah the spartan is the one that goes in the 60 without removing it. Dunno if lock right has revisited that issue.

Don't really care if the carrier has to come out I'm changing my gears anyway and wanted to put a lock right locker in the front i have had lock rights before in the rears of 12 bolts in other vehicles and never had issues
Just wanted to make sure that a locker is possible in the front

Most of the shops are telling me I should be using a Detroit true track instead because it is more of a possi the unit

Yup most definitely!

I went to put mine in the 60 but the damn roll pin wouldnt come out. Thats ok im regearing too!

The deal is its hard to steer when your under torque. If you run in 4wd alot on the street a tru trac is definitely better. Won't give as much traction as a locker but will add some.

It's not like you lose steering when in 4wd but your turning radius will increase when in 4wd. Hydro assist helps alot.

Even then I have run 4wd locked front and rear on really bad roads before with no issue. You gotta pay attention though.

OK cool thank you I'll most likely be putting it into two wheel drive but still have the hubs locked when turning anyway I'll be doing it mainly for my ranch there some Hillclimb's and water crossings where I want to stay locked in front. My ranch is 1400 anchers with hills and valleys and rocks.
