When I bought my blazer the PO told me he had the rear end rebuilt and had this lock right that he didn't have put back in...said it was because he was driving it on the freeway to much:rolleyes:
Upon inspection I see some damage....Question is, is this worth putting back in or will it grenade on me?

If I remeber correctly from when I installed mine....Mine also had those, If I'm correct the springs slip in those slits when your installing all of it.

Now, that being said i could be completely wrong, I installed mine maybe 2 years ago.

Zoomed in, and now I see where you are talking about..

If it were me, I would NOT run it like that, I would try and weld it back up. Then Drill out the holes and see what happens?

Guess I'll shoot the pics to a couple of Machine shops I do business with at work and see if they'll do it for me:(

I'm glad to see your keeping the k5 and I am in the vendor section @ RME and willing to trade machine/welding labor for parts or beer:D
