Most of you know what I have, but to be specific....

I have a 14b rear, that's Detroit lock'd.
My 10b front has an Eaton posi, and I hate it. :doah:

I'm running these components in my 10b:
- Warn hubs.
- Yukon 4340 shafts.
- Spicer forged joint's. (will be CTM shortly.)
- Eaton posi.
- 4.10 Sierra gears.
- 37" Mil-Tires, on H1 beadlock's....

Can I run a Lock Right in my front end, or am I just gonna start bustin' stuff? :dunno:
The Posi is reliable, in the sense that it dependably sends traction after it matters...

The only thing I would be worried about with that setup is the stock 10 bolt carrier. They have a bad habit of breaking and lunch box lockers dont do anything to help that.

If you are planning on keeping the 10 bolt, which with the money you have already spent I assume that you are, I would spring for a complete carrier replacement, detroit, arb, ox etc.

You're probably already pushing 10b luck with 37s on heavy ass h1's. I wouldn't put ARB kind of money into it. Hell you're almost into a 60 for that kind of money. Grab a lock rite, rock it, save pennies for 60.

A local guy here was runnin one in a stepside on 36" Iroks with a mostly stock worn out 350. Pretty much everytime he went out it would kill a shaft or two. He since put a posi out of a camaro in it, think he has had good luck with that.

If I were you Id save the coin and invest it in a 60 as well.

Seriously though... your built 10b with alloy shafts is about as strong as a stock d60. And you can run locked 37s without a problem.

I would however go for a full carrier replacement like a Detroit. A d60 is a waste to upgrade to given your goals for the truck.

My buddy has alloys in his scout with a strong motor, doubler, and arb. On grippy 37 mtrs and no failures to date in his front axle.

I have a Locrite in my front 10 bolt, running all stock equipment other than the locker unit. Only broken one long side shaft at the splines so far. Rollin' on 35's.

Previously i installed the Govloc, didn't like the way it performed, bought the Locrite, like it much better for the price and the amount and type of wheelin I did at the time.

With this truck it's about as far as I'm going to go with the front diff, unless I want to get crazy with the truck and go all out, then It'll ge tthe 60 swap, but I honestly don't see that happening.

That's what I figured... :D

This is smart... I hadn't considered a full carrier replacement. :waytogo:
...And, yeah. A D60 is out of the question.

I need a doubler...
Sh*t, for that matter, so do you, Chris...

:haha:

If you look up member "Vee" on here, you will see what he had. I took some of his stuff when he parted the truck out. IIRC he was running 38" swappers, chromo, lunchbox, crossover, and hubs without a problem. Judging by the direction of you build plans, and some of your pictures, it doesn't seem like you will have a problem running this either.

Vee's truck was thrashed and some of his pictures of the truck look nasty hardcore.
