Anybody ever here of this,I have a '83 k5 with power locks one day I locked it and could not unlock it,it was working just fine , I was able to get in through the rear window but I still cant get the doors unlocked by pulling the knobs or pushing the switches or turning the key.One door did this and I got it opened by takin the door panel off and gettin a long screw driver and pushin on the latch and it worked OK with the key ,switch , or knob now both are locked, it has factory locks. Could it be the electric cylinders?Or the latch assembly? ever try takin a door panel off with the doors locked , it aint fun! HELP:confused:

If they dont unlock with the key, (froze up) I would suggest you pull the fuse ASAP. My guess is that one of the buttons is stuck down to the lock side of the switch. If you cut the power to them you should be able to use the key.

Why yes, yes I have had the pleasure of removing door panels on a locked door. It's the door latch. After about 15-20 years of locking and unlocking the one little spring finally gives up and no longer is a spring. I can't tell you where to look because it was about 12-13 years ago I had this problem. Got a latch outta the junkyard and was good to go.
