I am sure this has been discussed many times.... how easy is it to install a locker in a 14ff and a true trac( or other traction locking gear) in a dana 60 front.. is it easy to remove the carrier and deliver it to the gear guy???? whats the most cost effective way to do this?
thanks all /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

i dont know about the 60, but the 14ff is easy. i think it took blazinaire and i about half an hour from the time we popped off the cover till we re-filled the diff.

14 bolt is easy due to the fact you dont have to tear the axle down that much and the carrier just splits appart. i think with the 60 youhave to have a case spreader, but i dont know. also have to tear the axle all the way down.
