Ah, first time I've ever seen one in the flesh. It's in the 74 Blazer I'm selling. Still better then an open diff? Or no....?

If it works I'd say it's better, although it's also more prone to self destruction than open...

I've got a '95 C3500 Dually with a gov lock in the 14BFF. No problems yet but I've got only 65,000 miles on it. When it blows I'll switch to one of the new air lockers. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I already played the 12bolt Gov Bomb game last winter. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif Boy was that fun. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif They tend to rip the teeth off of the side cam gear (the one on the drivers side), and the end of the govener.
It was lots of fun driving in the snow and ice. NOT!!!
IMO...Get rid of it quick!!! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
