i am building a street - some times off road truck with a 454bbc tbi and 4l80 205with 38"tires. i have a 14ff with open diff. what would be best for tire wear and strength for mostly steet use. thanks.

Just go ahead and get a detroit locker. I've got them front & rear and will be testing them new years day in the swamp :thumb:

If its gonna be wheeled, get a real locker. And no need to bump your post after only an hour, people will see it.

Detroit locker in the rear, (Doesn't take long too get used to it) and a selectable locker like a ARB up front would be my first choice.
