locker problems

I have a lockrite locker and i broke a dowl so i got new dowls and springs and it does the same thing.what the f,.. do i need to add some shims to close the gap

my first ? is was the spacing coorect in the first place i remeber when i installed my locker they were very specific about the tolerences

i bought the truck three years ago and the locker was in it.i dont know the gap is sapposed to be rite now it is allmost a quarter inch and i know that is to much

1/4 inch is way too much clearance. It should be .008" - .020" Sounds like there may be a thrust washer either worn or missing. No wonger you are breaking stuff.

thanks i already talked to them and they told me to check it with a micometer and i did but i am waiting to hear from them.thanks for the info i will post what happends
