Locking center console question

Tuffy. Anything else is a lock on a plastic box.
I've seen one of those small "Fire Sentry" home safes used as a console in one Suburban I saw at a friends shop...guy has a LTC,and wanted his gun to be "safe"..

Tuffy has changed their boxes a bit in the (many) years since I purchased mine, but not a whole lot of difference from the originals it appears. I will say though, that I haven't had any problems with mine, although not sure what kind of problems one might experience with something like this.
