Passenger side

Just started today, I do a walk around of my truck every time I get in or out of it and noticed fluid on my tire when I go home.

Locking hub is leaking on passenger side, not a horrible leak, but I would like to fix it before anything happens.

Can someone tell me what the culprit is? Does this call for a full rebuild or a replacement set of locking hubs or is it just as simple as an O-Ring or Snap Ring?

There isn't any fluid in there, just grease. It does get a bit thin as the hub warms up though...so there is an "O" ring at the hub dial. Sometimes the hub dial bolts get a little loose. I'd check those first and go from there.

As far as I recall, Warn doesn't recommend greasing up the locking hub (won't hurt anything, but it isn't necessary and may make turning difficult when cold. Might want to pull the hub and make sure the grease is still in the bearings where it belongs. I always figured the o-ring was more for keeping water out than keeping grease in.

The outer o ring is bad if the bolts are tight. A good industrial supply store should be able to mach up the o ring.
