Can it be done? Has anyone ever tried it, or like on a dana 60 or 70?
I think i remeber seeing them or a tread on someone trying it a lonnnng time ago, like a few years ago, anyone remeber this tread I cant find it?

I know its been done on OLD jeep axles (like WWII jeeps) but have never seen it done on anything newer

I think it'd be tough and expensive to do.

First, you'd need custom made double splined axleshafts. Not hard to do, but $$$.

Second, you'd need locking hubs that fit the 1.5" 30 spline shafts. AFAIK, there is nothing like this available off the shelf. You'd have to get something smaller broached to the correct size, and then figure out a way to flange mount it to the axle. OR, just get the ends of the shafts made with the common Dana 60/70 35 spline, and use D60/70 locking hubs, with some sort of flange mount. You might even be able to find some old flange mount 35 spline Spicer lockouts from a D70, but I do believe those are almost impossible to find.

I think it would be too expensive to justify.
