Got a set of cucv m1008 take out axles for a suburban I’m building. Was starting to clean them up when I turned the pass side lockout and it crumbled in my hand. Said oh well, just going to buy new lockouts. Settled on a set of G2’s. In the process of taking each side apart, finding a lot of rust and corrosion internally. The 6 screws holding the hub on broke. Now I’ve gotten to the inside and removed the c-clip and outer snap ring and attempting ti pull the lockout assembly out and it won’t budge. Am I missing something or is it just that rusted together? Thanks in advance

Since the six screws are broken, spray it with a lot of penetrating oil and then you probably have to use a sharp point chisel and try to work a chunk of it out of there with the chisel to see if you could knock the rest of it loose

Usually when they are stuck I would thread a couple of the bolts back in to pull on with a slide hammer or other tool. Since yours are broken you will need to find another way.

Sorry should have clarified. I was able to get it out. I then got the c clip and snap ring. The inner portion of the lockout is still stuck inside the hub.

Are you talking about the steel part engaged on the stub shaft, or the aluminum part?
