Can you install a Lockright in the carrier of a gov-loc?
I know the Lockright will fit in an open carrier.

Nope. I researched this last week by calling richmond gear myself.

You're out of luck. Get a detroit or weld it.

I am not above welding it at all! Can you take the carrier out easily witout resetting gears and all that crap to do the welding?

Is this a 10 bolt?

If so there is no reason to remove the carrier to weld it.

Welding a 10 bolt up won't make it last long though, that's for sure.

10 bolt crap.
My gov-lock is on the way out and looking for an easy fix until I find an upgrade.

I am going to "weld the snot out of it" then! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
Which rod should I use?

The new no slip locker (lockright+) does have a version for the 10/12B gov-loc case (also the 14FF). Try asking for a no slip, not a lockright. Don't weld it, then you will need a new carrier when you realize welding a street driven 1/2 ton axle is a bad idea.

No there isn't. The only application that is available for is the little 10 bolt found in the S10s. Our 8.5" 10 bolt, the 12 bolt truck, and the 14 bolt SF & FF are all out of luck when it comes to gov bombs and any kind of powertrax locker or no slip.
