Lockright Installation Help

No hijack, that is cool stuff. The lockright is pretty basic, here is the basic write up from the vendor http://www.powertrax.com/lockright.html

Installation was easy, although the instruction booklet kind of sucked. The first test run went well, but I was really frustrated with the lack of FI. So, just when I was really able to tell what type of difference it was gonna make, the freaking truck stopped running due to the incline...I'll find the video adn bitch about that in my other FI thread (Ramjet anybody?)

The thing I was kind of worried about was steering with the hubs locked, but no problem there, or at least I didn't find it much worse...I'll do some more in depth testing next weekend...

On my welded front I can not steer on the road in 2wd if the hubs are locked, it really sucks. So I ensure I have the hubs unlocked when I am on road. Offroad as long as there is a little slip of traction the wheels turn just fine. I also learned if it wants to slide the front end just blip the throttle and the nose comes right around. I have crossover and will be putting my PSC ram on here in the next week or two:D .

Sorry, yes, all my steering experience was on a dirt (soft dirt) road...I do not have crossover, but have been planning my crossover and Hydro assit...How are you mounting the ram to the diffcover or axle housing?

I have a cover from Ruffstuff on here all 3/8 press formed and welded that I will be welding my tabs to. I am not worried about the cover moving around it has 10 3/8 bolts holding it in place:D .

Readymix is underway right now, when he gets back we are gonna get it done. Then I will need to go out and test it out. Still need to put my front driveline back together from the last trip:doah: .

We will have to plan a "far south California" trip pretty soon...:D Then we can all get togehter and break things as a group!

Where is a good place inbetween Santa Barbara and San Diego? Readymix is in the Temec and SSPed is up there also. Driving 3 hours one way I could do but anymore than that gets really tough for a day trip:o .

I could then meet the other Ira :)
