Does anyone have any comments (good or bad) about Lojack as an anti theft system? (I already have a Viper alarm installed).

Nobody in their right mind would steal my 89 Jimmy, but my 68 Charger is another matter.

Sorry - don't have anything to add regarding Lojack but that's a nice Charger!

Will you be going to Spring Fling (Woodley Park) in a few weeks?

Here's mine (current state):

got lucky with a near perfect grill - mine is an odd color combo: white with green vinyl top and green interior. I'm fighting the urge to make it a triple black bullit clone...

90% recovery rate and if they don't recover your car within 24 hours you get your money back on the purchase of LoJack. Use code "save400" and get LoJack for $299 vs $699. 1-800-4-LOJACK

Jasonthemason - Thanks for the info. I think I will go with lojack.

bubbablazer - Thanks for the compliment and the info about spring fling. Sounds pretty cool. A few hours away from me, but very doable. I never see any nice mopars in my hometown. I'm not sure my car is show quality though. It has a very nice 10 foot paintjob, and isn't numbers matching.

What are your plans for your Charger though? Black on black Bullit clone would look great. Are you trying to keep the color correct white and green though? What about an engine?

We use LoJack at work to track and recover vehicles. The system is pretty effective. Matter of fact, wectracked a stolen truck into a shop where cops knocked on the door and discovered a chop shop up and running.

So, yes, it works.

I think lo jack is a great product and a well run company. Find out how many officers have the detector units in your area. There are parts of the country that have many and some that have few. I wouldnt hesitate to put one on any vehicle I own.

At least when the LoJack doesn't recover your vehicle after a theft, you'll get the $300-600 back for the LoJack, don't worry too much about the $30-60k worth of vehicle though. :D
