1986 VW campervan. this is the front part of the frame. There were many other issues, but this was clearly the winner of messed up things on this vehicle. We went to look at it for his hippy sister up in vermont, I told him to tell her to keep looking.

I have no idea why but the hippies pay some serious money for those things. Personally I can't stand them.

Ebay motors has em from 4-5k up to 20k. I was surprised. this one is for 12k and needed alot of work.

some tow truck driver more than likely .

mini J-hook in the wrong spot . that was a non-reinforced hole . .

easy fix . fold it back weld it up . plate over it and undercoat the hell out of it .

Looks like that van is frequently (and incorrectly) pulled onto tow trucks....
