I saw another of these critters and it was for sale for $700.

Had the normal rust and was an automatic.

not to change topic, but has anyone ever seen a chevy truck with a different tail end. I've seen 2 that were square on the back tailgate area, they were the 73-87 bodystyle. both had mexican plates, I'm assuming they were the mexican style?

Did they make a special order, extra long bed, like 10'?

from 67-72 they made a 9' stepside bed, one ton only thing. they're pretty rare.

speaking of which, i'd like to find a regular 67-72 long step for my truck. anybody in ohio know of one?

There was one on craigslist for a while here. It'd have made a kickass tow rig if I had the time to restore it.

My 82 K20's twin!!..if it were Maroon, like the van in the background!

A lot of people think the 8' Stepsides are Fugly, but I like mine..an aluminum toolbox helps make it look "shorter"...I'll admit the bed is dinky compared to a fleetside,I don't know why anyone wants a 6' Stepside, other than looks--pretty useless for hauling very much at one time...I have to make 2 trips to haul as much firewood as I could in one trip with my 8' Fleetside truck..

A guy I went to highschool with an old rusted out one. Probaly 80 or so 3/4 ton fulltime 4x4. It looked good with that bed on it.

Hmm, I really like the look of the 67-72 stepside better, but the price would be right at $300. Although I dont know if I wanna deal with the rust issues it looks like that one has.

And I just bought my dad's old truck, I am running out of parking spots at the apartment complex, not to mention insurance...and I need another truck like I need a hole in the head.

Thanks for the heads up tho, I will mull it over.

This is an ex-highways truck belonging to a friend-of-a-friend on the Gulf Islands. '77 C30 w/292 & TH400.
